In celebration of Juneteenth, all Overton ISD offices will be closed on Thursday, June 19th.
Regular office hours will resume on Monday, June 23rd.
The Overton Mustang Baseball Team will compete in the UIL 2A Division II state championship game on Thursday, June 5th at 9:00am at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. In order to support our young men and allow Overton ISD employees the opportunity to attend the game, all Overton ISD offices, classes and cafeteria will be closed that day. Regular office hours will resume on Monday, June 9th. Go Mustangs!
The Mustangs defeated Burton 4-1 in the 3rd and final game of their semi-final series, and earned the right to compete for a State Championship next Thursday, June 5th, 9am at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
These young men are making school history. All Overton ISD offices will be closed June 5th - make plans to be in Round Rock next Thursday morning to cheer on the Mustangs!

Game 1: Wednesday May 28th at 6pm - Burton will be home team

Ticket prices - $10 for adults, $8 for students: Tickets can be purchased at the gate. Credit Card /Debit Card only.
The Mustangs are Regional Champions!They swept Beckville in a double header tonight, and punched their ticket to the State Final Four.
The Mustangs play their next series in the State Semi-finals where they will take on the winner of the region 4 final between Shiner and Burton.

ETBU was notified earlier today that they will be hosting for their Super Regional series, so they can no longer host the Overton vs Gary Regional Semi-final round. The game site will now be Hallsville High School. This is unfortunately out of our control, but we apologize for any inconvenience.
G1: Overton vs Gary, Thursday at Hallsville 6:30pm. Gary will be the home team
G2: Gary vs Overton, Friday at Hallsville 5:00pm. Overton will be the home team
G3: if needed, game 3 will follow G2 30 minutes after.

The Brightspeed outage is ongoing. A repair crew is now onsite near Troup.
Overton ISD's Internet services through Brightspeed are currently down. The district's phones are currently down due to this outage. An update will be posted when more information is available.

4-23-2025 - Please be aware that Brightspeed's fiber Internet service is currently down for the area. This is affecting Overton ISD's Internet and phone service., which are currently offline.
Mustangs came back from an 11-3 deficit - scoring 9 runs in the top of the 7th inning to overtake Beckville 12-11. Landon Hill closed it out on the mound to complete the sweep of the two-game series. GO MUSTANGS!!!

Today they received a 1 in concert performance and a 1 in sight reading to go with their trip to State for Marching - making them back-to-back State Sweepstakes Winners! Congrats to Mr & Mrs Parker and The Mustang Band!!!

Overton ISD is currently under a tornado warning for our area. All students and staff have moved to their designated areas and are sheltering in place until the "all clear " is announced.
Reminder: CTE OPEN HOUSE & SHOWCASE - TONIGHT
From 5:30pm to 7:30pm, come see what's happening at the Northeast Texas Career and Technology Education (NETCTE) Center. The NETCTE is a joint venture with Kilgore College that offers in-person, dual-credit academic and technical education classes to students from Overton ISD, Arp ISD, West Rusk Consolidated ISD, Carlisle ISD and Leverett's Chapel ISD.
It's located just south of the Overton Dairy Queen at 1300 FM 2089, Overton, TX 75684.
The Kilgore College "Road Show" will be on site with a few prizes, snacks and give-aways. Administrators, instructors and students will be available to answer questions and provide details and demonstrations of the fantastic opportunities available.
