At Overton ISD we love opportunities to be involved in the community and this is a perfect example. Parents and their children came out to the McMillan Library for a "Touch a Truck" event. Overton ISD provided a School bus and it was a HIT! Here are some of the pictures of the buses biggest fans.
Due to anticipated weather from hurricane Beryl, the Overton ISD offices and campuses will be closed this afternoon, July 8th. We will resume regular office hours on Tuesday, July 9th.

Big Thanks to the ladies of Queen Price Community Enrichment for their annual, amazing 4th grade tea party which hosts girls from the Overton, West Rusk and Leverett's Chapel school districts. This year's theme was "RoyalTea", and what a royal event it was - full of fun and fond memories!

Lady Mustangs are Area Champions!!! Great job by the players and coaches tonight. They had to play through some extra adversity, but they came together to get the win and move on to round 3. Great job ladies.
Lady Mustangs win game one tonight vs. James Bowie. They will look to close out the series tomorrow at 5pm in Winnsboro. Mustangs lost a tough one 8-7 tonight, and will look to extend the series tomorrow with a win in game 2. The boys will play at 7:30 in Winnsboro.

The end of the school year is quickly approaching and our preparations for another great year will continue over the summer. The Mustang #ALLIN summer workouts are for all OISD student athletes entering grades 7-12. The athletes will be participating in strength and speed development exercises as well as sport specific workouts on certain days.
