Today, Overton ISD had the privilege of hosting educators from Sabine ISD for a 2.5-hour collaborative session focused on our first year of Bluebonnet implementation.
The conversation was honest, encouraging, and incredibly productive as we shared both the successes and the challenges that come with meaningful instructional change. While the journey has not been painless, we firmly believe the work is worth it for our students, and we were proud to share our experiences with fellow educators committed to continuous growth.
A special thank you to our amazing Overton ISD teachers — Tammy Baker, Courtney Jones, Janel Williams, Christina Croswell, and Catherine Moffett — for leading discussions, answering questions, and sharing their experiences with such transparency, candidness, professionalism, and encouragement. Your leadership and willingness to support others reflects the very best of Mustang Nation.
We are grateful to Sabine ISD for making the trip and for the spirit of collaboration that made today so meaningful. Two districts. One mission. Supporting students and empowering educators.
