Board of Trustees, Overton ISD

Scotty L. Moore is a dedicated and experienced member of the Overton ISD School Board, currently serving in his 19th year. A graduate of West Rusk High School, Scotty went on to complete the police academy at Kilgore College and has since built a career marked by leadership and service.

Now retired, Scotty continues to contribute to the community through his work with the City of Overton. Prior to retirement, he served as a Statewide Crude Manager, bringing valuable experience in management and logistics.

Scotty is a proud father to his son, Gregory Moore. His deep commitment to the students of Overton ISD has been the driving force behind his nearly two decades of board service. He joined the school board with a clear goal: to ensure the best possible education and future for the district’s students.

As a board member, Scotty’s priority is to consistently make well-informed and thoughtful decisions that serve the best interests of the district and its students.

In his free time, Scotty is a devoted supporter of Overton Mustang athletics and the school band. He enjoys attending games and competitions, showing up for students and cheering them on at every opportunity.
