Mike Rogers

Board of Trustees, Overton ISD
Vice President

Mike Rogers has proudly served on the Overton ISD School Board for 16 years, bringing passion, dedication, and a student-first mindset to every decision he makes. A graduate of Overton ISD himself, Mike is deeply invested in the success of the district and its future generations.

Professionally, Mike works in outside sales, where he has developed strong communication and problem-solving skills that he applies to his work on the board. He and his wife, Robin Rogers, are the proud parents of five boys—Shelton, Dalton, Hudson, Tucker, and Sawyer—all of whom are 4th generation graduates of Overton ISD. Their family’s long-standing connection to the district is a source of great pride..

Mike chose to run for the school board out of a desire to create positive change. At a time when he believed the district needed a new direction, he stepped up to advocate for stronger leadership and improved school facilities. Since then, he has remained committed to ensuring Overton ISD provides a high-quality, supportive educational environment.

His priorities as a board member are clear: students come first. Mike believes in fostering a culture of excellence through strong leadership, creating a positive atmosphere, and offering a wide range of opportunities—from extracurricular activities to advanced coursework—that help students grow, stay engaged, and feel confident in their potential.

Outside of his role on the board, Mike embraces his inner collector. He’s a self-proclaimed “collector nerd” who enjoys hunting for sports cards, comic books, vinyl records, and other unique finds.
