STAAR Testing for 2022-3023

The State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness (STAAR) is required by all Texas students. You can visit the Family Portal on texasassessment.com to look up your child’s standardized test scores.  For more information, contact Mrs. Richardson or Mr. Hogg. 

STAAR Tests Taken at Each Grade Level Include:

• 6^th Grade - Reading and Math 
• 7^th Grade - Reading, Math & Writing
• 8^th Grade - Reading, Math, Science & Social Studies  
  • 8^th Graders must pass the Reading and Math exams to be promoted to 9^th grade.
• High School Students are required to take the following five STAARS End of Course (EOC) exams:  
  • Algebra I
  • Biology
  • English I
  • English II
  • US History

EOC Retest Information:  High school students who took an EOC last school year, but did not meet the passing standard, will be required to retest in December. See the retest dates for each exam below: 

• English I EOC:  12/6/2022
• English II EOC: 12/8/2022
• Algebra I EOC:  12/6/2022
• Biology EOC:    12/7/2022
• US Hist EOC:    12/7/2022
