I grew up in a small town in Missouri called Hillsboro. From there I moved to Oklahoma where I attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa, where I earned my Associate in Arts Degree. I then moved on to Oklahoma State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science majoring in Elementary Education.
I then began my teaching career in Houston Texas over twenty years ago. While working in the Alief school district I taught a variety of areas; 5th, 4th, and 3rd-grade classrooms, and most recently I was teaching computer skills to student’s grades K-4. While teaching in Houston I made the decision to return to school to earn a Master’s degree. I enrolled in the University of Houston – Clear Lake where I earned my Masters of Science in School Counseling.
